Tenda 8-Port Ethernet Switch

The Tenda 8-Port Ethernet Switch is a compact networking device designed to connect multiple wired devices to a local area network (LAN). It is suitable for homes, offices, shops, schools, and small businesses that need reliable Ethernet connections for computers, printers, routers, smart TVs, and compatible IP cameras.

The Tenda S108 is a common 8-port model with 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet connectivity. It provides eight RJ45 ports, allowing you to expand your existing wired network without replacing your main router.

8-Port Ethernet Connectivity

With eight Ethernet ports, the Tenda switch allows several network devices to connect through one central point. This makes it useful for offices with multiple computers, retail shops with networked equipment, and homes that need wired connections in different areas.

Furthermore, a wired connection can provide dependable communication between compatible devices on the same network.

Fast Ethernet Performance

The Tenda S108 supports 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet connections. It is suitable for everyday browsing, file sharing, printing, and general office networking where Fast Ethernet speeds meet the requirements.

However, this model is not a Gigabit switch. If your network requires speeds of up to 1,000Mbps, consider a Tenda Gigabit model such as the SG108 or another compatible Gigabit switch.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The switch is designed for simple installation without complicated configuration. Connect it to a suitable power supply, link it to your router or existing network, and attach your devices using Ethernet cables.

Auto-negotiation helps each port select a supported connection speed. Auto MDI/MDIX also simplifies Ethernet cable connections, making the device convenient for home and business users.

Compact Desktop Design

The Tenda S108 features a compact plastic enclosure that fits comfortably on a desk or shelf. It also supports wall mounting, helping users position the switch where network cables can be arranged neatly.

As a result, it is suitable for workspaces where a small, straightforward networking solution is preferred over a large rack-mounted device.

Suitable for Office and CCTV Networks

This switch can help expand wired connectivity for computers, printers, routers, smart TVs, and compatible IP cameras. It is useful in small offices, shops, computer rooms, and home networks.

Please note that the standard Tenda S108 does not provide Power over Ethernet (PoE). IP cameras or access points that require PoE need a separate compatible PoE switch or suitable power supply.
